Job Summary
Storekeeper is responsible for managing the inventory and stock accuracy as he is accountable for any negative or positive differences, and he must justify it with supported documents, maintenance, and supervision of activities in the stores. He keeps track of all the material movements to and from warehouses. He supervises material handling to ensure minimal material damage. He also conducts regular inspections.

Material Dispatching and Receiving
Prepare the store for upcoming stock. Ensure adhered to standard operating procedure for store space management.
Oversee loaders and labours and coordinate with logistics for dispatch of customer orders.
Ensure the hygiene of the truck and the way goods are loaded onto the trucks, Visual inspection of truck to be loaded (particularly during monsoon like leakage from roof, open spaces in the truck platform, through there could be water entry etc.)
Oversee off-loading of stock to receive and review goods for damages and shortage. Inform the same to the Logistics Supervisor
Receive damaged and returned goods, review their condition, and seek necessary approvals before accepting the stock.
Identify unsafe conditions or work practices and report them.
Ensure loading and unloading happens safely and timelines are met and verify goods against checklist.
(For Branch Storekeepers ONLY):
Prepare distribution plan by identifying the requirement of fleet size and scheduling routes for optimizing cost and time of distribution.
Coordinate with fleet officer and external logistics service providers to ensure timely availability of fleet.
Prepare and execute contingency plan for immediate requirements.
Coordinate with drivers, keep track of vehicle locations and regularly update delivery status to customers / salesmen / supervisor.
Set clear material handling guidelines for delivery team to follow, to ensure minimal material damage during distribution.
Prepare and optimize route plans and ensure excellent customer service and compliance with defined DOTIF metrics.
Ensures customers acknowledge and stamps on the invoices after delivery.
Stock Tracking
Conduct periodic physical stock count of stock, fill up counting sheets, reconcile the results in case of variance in any of the SKU and update the counting sheet accordingly.
Check and ensure appropriate stock arrangement
ERP System
(For Branch Storekeepers ONLY) :
Receives the Sales request from the salesmen and enter the data into the system for generating invoices.
Validate the price of sales order to ensure that it is same as the price on the ERP system.
Check inventory levels after receiving the order and request stock from other warehouses if required to complete the order
Submit market returns in ERP system within 24 hours.
Update salesman on the delivery status and inform them about any unforeseen delays.
Print invoices and handover to distribution officers for arranging delivery to customers.
Warehouse Management
Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse spaces and allocate spaces for different kinds of goods for efficient movement.
Manage the maintenance of material handling equipment and initiate repairs, replacement, and upgradation
Infestation Control
Conduct pest scouting for the identification infestation in stacks on bi-weekly basis
Upon, identification of infestation, report to Logistics supervisor and QA team on the situation and extent of infestation
Keep aside any extra goods or goods that do not meet requirements to be quarantined.
Oversee fumigation process and report any findings to the QA Team.
HSE
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, procedure, and standards established by the company
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PEE) when required
Promptly report any work-related incident, injury, or near misses to Site Safety Team or Line Manager.
