Job Summary

Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for managing the merchandisers to ensure effective regular coverage of all the stores in the area, implementation of merchandising activities, manage shelf display, and manage the logistics and storage of stock in the stores.

Merchandising Operations

  • Prepare daily merchandising plans and route plans for merchandisers based on the category and store size
  • Ensure efficient utilization of merchandising workforce by seeking, reviewing their daily status reports and real time pictures of the store display and storage
  • Manage implementation of promotions and campaigns by providing necessary guidelines to the merchandisers.
  • Monitor competitors’ activities and provide analytic report to his/her manager.
  • Ensure shelf space allocation at every outlet for Mayar’s product is as per the agreement. Recommend change in space if the new space can improve visibility and access of Mayar’s products vis-à-vis competition
  • Ensure that the promotions and pricing are as per agreements
  • Visit stores regularly to review the display and merchandising activities
  • Review the merchandisers daily duties, coverage, instore and ideal time with the team  from SHELVZ application

Logistics and Storage Operations

  • Ensure the availability of stock through coordination with merchandisers. Negotiate more space with the store in case of overstock and coordinate with salesmen in case of understock
  • Review the storage, cleanliness and handling of products in the backdoor of stores
  • Plan the merchandisers schedule for receiving and storage of the stock at stores

Reporting and Presentation

  • Gather the pictures of merchandising activities, shelf display, etc. daily and present it to the  Area Manager/ Branch Manager
  • Meet the team every day for planning and status reporting
  • Audit the available POSM in Mayar DC and ensure reporting the remining quantities with the TM and sales team to obtain the execution plans.

Team Management

  • Manage the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual performance appraisal of the merchandisers
  • Train and mentor merchandisers on the merchandising fundamentals and techniques
  • Accountable for handling all the supervisory tasks related to leave and attendance management, career development, work assignment, review and feedback

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Sales/ Marketing Majors

 

Professional Qualifications

 

 

Experience

  • 4 years of experience in Merchandising with a minimum of 2 years in supervisory role at FMCG company

 

Any Others

  • Proficiency in written and verbal Arabic language
  • Proficiency in English language is preferred
